History of Hitchcock Incorporated
Hitchcock Inc. was founded in 1961 by Kenneth Hitchcock. In 1968, the company was moved to town in Burlington, Colorado, and Royce and Duane Hitchcock were put in charge of manufacturing. In 1978, we expanded our production area and became a Valley Center Pivot Irrigation dealership.
With expansion in 1979, 1981 and 2001, we currently operate out of a 41,230 square-foot facility in Burlington where we manufacture truck boxes, chain drags, bunk blowers, boom backs, and all kinds of custom-built products for farmers and industry. Hydraulics, metal fabrication, and welding are our specialty. Additional services include trenching, excavation, and crane work.
In 1999, operations expanded to include a second location in Goodland, Kansas, serving the area of Northwest Kansas.
